This week started with the tremors of last weeks' discontent. A few things did make it seem smaller, though not much smaller. A few options, like stay in Singapore, get a loan, or things like getting a sponsorship or something like that. The options are there, and hopefully the most economic routes could appear. Got the message clear to my siblings that, should the need be, I'll be staying, though the trip to USA is almost undeterrable. Should be able to survive for a while without my parents' support. Hopefully, my "all or nothing" plan can work out. Sadly, I'm expecting tough competition from other students in USA as well. Local studies will be an easy way out, but "no pain, no gain".
Should all else fail when I'm there, I'll probably end up spending my own funds and return home without my Masters. Perhaps if that happens, I'll just decide that research is not for me. Well, that's the worst case scenario, and I'm definitely not even thinking twice about it. Then again, what an anti-climax it will be if I'm stuck with education in Singapore either way comes up. Saw the local course, but not very excited to least describe it.
Soccer wise, Everton's luck seems to be tied to my fortunes, ironically. Well, I did not expect a loss but a survivor in the tougher times will make one stronger, and I'm sure, I won't be disappointed with what the club have achieved. Point to note though: Celta Vigo got relegated the same season they got to the second round of Champions League, Moyes better note.
