Curse of the Londoners

I notice a trend a few years back when Everton was on a roll, no matter how invincible the defence look, we can never beat London clubs, and we will always concead goals. I don't mean cup runs. Cup runs are easy from time to time depending on the dynamics of the league at that point. This year, it seems that West Ham is not included in the list of "London Clubs We Could Not Beat". 2 away games 4 goals, 1 conceaded, 2 from Yakubu. It's just fantastic times ahead, although I am still wary of injuries to key players like Arteta and Cahill. Yakubu can deliver with good service while that is maintained by Arteta's flair, although Arteta's absence would be horrible at the current moment. Cahill's duties are mostly covered by Carsley, Gravesen and others but simply no one can replace his guile in the box. Plus, man, that guy can really jump! Top four is a good place to aim, although I'm pragmatic. Still, you should always set a target that you have only a marginal chance to reach to really pack you up with desire for success.

As for the rest of the league, it is going well for Allardyce, and hopefully it is not too little too late. A meagre win at Fulham is probably not what their fans expected, but Sam still has it in grinding out wins. I'm wondering if Sanchez can help Fulham. His work at Northern Ireland is fantastic but he got himself a big hole to climb out from. He probably need to familiarize himself with non-British players as the hard work needs to be complemented by flair, something Fulham doesn't really have anymore. And to be fair, I didn't predict them for the drop...Neither is Wigan. Poor Bruce.
